Ellie Burge
Hello there!
So you would like to know more about me? Here it is...
I am a bubbly, creative and passionate individual and strive to get the best out of myself and my colleagues within the industry. I work well as part of a team but also have good leadership qualities if needs be. I have dreamt of being an actress for as long as I can remember; from creating little scenarios and acting them out as a child to performing on small theatre stages in variety performances. I am determined to pursuing my dreams, I will work tirelessly until I can finally call myself a professional ACTRESS.
I have graduated from Bath Spa University studying drama and dance studies. I received a 2:! (Upper Second Class honours) in July 2014. Although I had difficulty adjusting to university at first, I eventually grew to loving the experience; it may sound nerdy, but I was more enjoying the fountain of information being thrown at me. These experiences and information will be treasured and used throughout my career. Specifically to drama studies my modules included; Staging Shakespeare, Devising New Theatre, Directing, American Actors and Acting to name but few. None of the modules made me regret my decision for selection, each of them were taught by amazing tutors who had past experience in their taught area, and were more than willing to share them with us as student and peers. In my second year at university I had the pleasure of being part of the Novato Dance Company; taking on roles as a choreographer, singer, and dancer. This was definitely one of the highlight of my time at university. For my last drama project I wrote a stage production focusing on the effects of Stockholm Syndrome. I also directed, filmed and produced the show which was a huge role to take on when I still had so much to learn; but it all happened along the way. The show was a success and I was proud of my two actors involved in the process; they gave suggestions and worked with me all the way. I never expected to find myself writing or even directing such an important piece of work for my final project, but I am thrilled to have done it; especially possible due to the positive responses from the audience. I will always be keen to revive the play but for now I am excited with what journey my next project will take me on.

Within my younger years I was able to join a small theatre academy, of sorts, known as Stage Coach. In my 6-7 years there, I managed to improve and be more confident with my skills by working my way up from chorus member, to lead role. Even in one of my first stage shows I was cast a Toulouse in our production of Moulin Rouge, and my last ever show with them I auditioned and was cast for Elphaba in our production of WickedOz. Within my time at Stage Coach I was able to undertake a L.A.M.D.A exam. I performed a duologue with one of my colleagues at Bronze level and I achieved a Distinction - this was certainly a confidence boost!

I have always wanted to travel; to see stunning sites and experience the unexpected. I love writing, singing, my dogs, my friends and family, reading, rowing and running.

I hope this gives you a little more insight to me and how I came to be here. If you have any further queries please do contact me.
